Module 6: We were introduced to producing and utilizing digital media: Photography.

We learned the basic tools and navigation of a digital camera - F-Stops, Shutter Speeds, ISO, Cropping, Rule of Thirds., etc. There was a lot of information but it was all very clear and easy to understand.
With this assignment I decided to have fun and shoot one of my cats.  I later cropped this in Photoshop and then uploaded it on the iPhone.  I used a very inexpensive digital app called Shapely - adding a frame, text, object, and layer.  It can be purchased online via the Apple store.
I'm sharing the app blog, so you can see all of the fun edits!  http://shapely.tumblr.com
I was thinking this could be a fun assignment for students new to digital cameras and editing tools - they can shoot a photo of their pet or favorite toy or object.  They can edit the image using a cropping tool (Photoshop, iPhoto) then add two or more elements into the photo: boarder, object, text, &/or texture layer.
